Frances Lindsay - Senior Partner

Frances Lindsay is a qualified solicitor and member of the Law Society Family Panel and Resolution (formerly Solicitors Family Law Association). She is also a trained Collaborative Lawyer and member of the Collaborative Family Law Group. You can find more information about these organisations in our Useful Links section.

Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Frances took some time to get married, have a few children and work as a software trainer in the days when computers were coal-fired. She then worked as a head hunter in the financial sector before getting a divorce. Still en-route to her legal qualification, she re-married and had a few more children. Not only does Frances have many years’ experience as a family lawyer, she also possesses first hand experience of the stress of divorce and of a being single, working parent in a tough world. Piers Clifton - Partner

Piers has more than 35 years experience in property law, wills probate and other private family matters. Piers drives a black VW golf although we are trying to convert him.

Zoe Sloan - Assistant Solicitor

Zoe has worked extensively with children and families supporting them through difficult times. Zoe completed her legal practice course at Bristol University. Zoe trained with us and is a qualified solicitor. Zoe is a member of Resolution. Zoe drives a black mini cooper.

Carol Cox - Support Staff

Carol is a welcome member of the Frances Lindsay & Co support team. Carol is a qualified secretary and is fulfilling her ambition to work in a family law firm. She is secretary to Zoe and does her best under difficult circumstances to keep Zoe's desk tidy. Carol drives a Renault clio but we don't hold that against her.

Val Griffin

We can hardly call Val support staff, Val is more than that and has been Pier's right hand for more than 35 years. Piers and Val are most amazing team. Val rides a bicycle!

Katie Arnold- Support Staff

Katie is Frances' right hand girl and the tallest member of the team. Katie approaches everything with unwavering good humour and a unique enthusiasm. Katie is learning to drive!

Sarah - Receptionists

To make life easy for staff and clients alike both morning and afternoon receptionists are called Sarah. Frances is considering standardising the names of everyone in the firm.
