Frances Lindsay, Senior Partner
Frances Lindsay is a qualified solicitor and member of the Law Society Family Panel and Resolution (formerly Solicitors Family Law Association). She is a Resolution Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer and member of the Collaborative Family Law Group. You can find more information about these organisations in our Useful Links section.
Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Frances took some time to get married, have a few children and work as a software trainer in the days when computers were coal-fired. She then worked as a head hunter in the financial sector before getting a divorce. Still en-route to her legal qualification, she re-married and had a few more children. Not only does Frances have many years’ experience as a family lawyer, she also possesses first hand experience of the stress of divorce and of being a single, working parent in a tough world. And in case you think all this has put her off marriage for ever, Frances is pleased to say that she took the plunge again in June 2007. Frances did drive a sensible blue Mini Cooper S but now has something a little more sporty.
Piers Clifton, Partner
Piers has more than 45 years experience in property law, wills, probate and other private family matters. Piers drives a rather elegant grey VW golf although we are trying to convert him.
Sarah Speed, Partner
Sarah joins us from Thomas Eggar by way of Manches and brings a touch of class to the practice. Sarah is a Member of Resolution and a trained Collaborative Lawyer too Sarah drives the biggest car in the car park.
Jemma Jones, Assistant Solicitor
Jemma qualified in 2008 joining us on qualifying. Thank heavens she did we don’t know what we would do without her. Jemma is an invaluable member of our family team. Her throaty laugh can be heard echoing round the office even on the dullest days. Jemma is a Member of Resolution. She is training to be a Collaborative Lawyer. Jemma uses the train unless its cold and then she drives her boyfriend’s Audi.
Karen Goggin, Support
Karen is Frances’ PA. She has years of experience as a legal secretary and is now our fully qualified first aider, so paper cuts are swiftly treated with care, compassion and a sweetie if you whine enough. Karen does drive to work but you can never be sure in what.
Carol Cox, Support
Carol is a well established member of the Frances Lindsay & Co support team. Nothing much suprises her any more. She does an amazing job of keeping Jemma under control. Carol drives a Renault clio – but then someone has to.
Adrienne Boyd, Support
Adrienne is Sarah Speed’s PA, and keeps both Sarah under control and her desk immaculate. She buzzes around in a little white car which is just as often to be seen here as it is in Beaconsfield.
Sheila Hind, Receptionist
Sheila is our afternoon Receptionist. If you come to see us in the afternoon Sheila will be here to greet you with her warm friendly manner. She came to us on a temporary contract but we just couldn’t let her go.
